bowie.jpgTori Bowie is one of our finest sprinters. In London 2017, Tori won the 100 meters with a brutal dive in the last meters. She recovered and anchored the US team to victory in the 4x100m. At the 2018 Pre Classic, Tori Bowie tore her quad in 2018, and changed coaches, after a time of rehab. Stuart Weir did this interview in mid 2018.

What is amazing to me, is how European Athletics is both looking into the future and caring about the present. Like any federation, EAA has its challenges, but what I admire is that they are actually trying to change things for the better. Here is the review of 2018:

carlsbadstart.jpgThe Carlsbad 5000 is one of the iconic races that only could be held on the West Coast. This race has had a history of fast racers and fine runners, and large fields. The challenges to the race have been the new ownership in the past year, which did not give the event the promotion that it deserved.

FL.jpgIn the girls’ 5K race, Masciarelli outkicked Katelynne Hart of Glen Ellyn, Ill., in the final few meters to showcase a phenomenal finish, winning in a time of 17:00.3, surpassing Jordan Hasay’s 2005 record as the fastest first-timer at National Finals.

desi-RBR.jpgDes Linden has been busy all summer and fall. And, it has not stopped. This last weekend, Desi was in San Antonio, Texas, for one of her sponsors, Rock 'n Roll series. At San Antonio, Des was running the half marathon with two of her biggest fans, who won a contest put together by the race series.

Kara_RbR.jpgKara Goucher is a two time Olympian and World Championship Silver medalist at 10,000 meters. In 2008 and 2012, Kara ran on Olympic teams, and did so well. In 2016, Kara Goucher came oh so close to making the Olympic team, finishing a difficult 4th place.
