USATF Foundation Doubles $50,000 Olympic Qualifier Bonus Pool to $100,000; Sends 19 Grantee Athletes to London
The USA Track & Field Foundation decided at its board meeting June 30 to double the original Elite Athlete Grantee bonus pool cap of $50,000 announced April 11, to $100,000, announced Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld.

The runoff between Allyson Felix and training partner Jeneba Tarmoh to decide who gets the third U.S. spot in the 100 meters at the London Games will be held Monday, July 2, at 5 pm local time. Both runners, according to USA Track & Field, preferred to have a run off instead of a coin flip.

After running the 400 meters for only four months, University of Oregon sophomore, Phyllis Francis not only qualified for the Olympic Trials, but she made it back to the semi-finals with a seed time of 52.82—only .11 off from her personal best.

Gill Athletics and USA Track & Field Announce 2012 National High School Track & Field Coach of the Year Award Winners
CHAMPAIGN-- Gill Athletics and USA Track & Field (USATF) announced the 2012 Gill Athletics National High School Track & Field Coaches of the Year today.
USA Track & Field, in partnership with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ (ECA) and the Oregon Track Club, will aid in bringing 12 teenage girls and four female coaches from Caribbean nations to the United States June 18 – June 28 to participate in a track and field exchange program.
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Tyreek Hill pulled away from the field in the men’s 200m taking home his second gold medal to highlight the final day of competition at the USA Junior Championships in Bloomington, Ind. at Indiana University.
