The next height would be 6’ 1-1/4” – the “A” qualifier for the U.S. Olympic Trials. All three would miss, but Shanay Briscoe (Duncanville, TX) would get the win on misses.

PAUL - (May 29, 2008) - Team USA Minnesota's Carrie Tollefson will hold her second annual Training Camp from July 10 through 13 in the Twin Cities. Designed for boys and girls in grades 7-12 who run distances from the 800 meters up through cross country, the performance-driven camp will be held at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul.
By John Nepolitan / May 28, 2008. One throw two records - Johannes Swainpool a sophomore at Shawnee Mission-South in Kansas uncorked a 221' 2" throw in the javelin to set a new Kansas 6A record and a new USA class record.
For his record performances, Johannes Swainpool, has been named Athletes Only Athlete of the Week for the week of May 27th.
By John Nepolitan / May 20, 2008. Dusty Jonas (University of Nebraska) entered his last Big 12 Championship looking for his first title. Jonas, who hales from La Vernia, TX (population of 921) not only won the title but would go on to clear 7'8-3/4". With the jump he set the school record, Big 12 Championship meet record, Big 12 Conference record and put his name at the top of the World list.
Held under sunny skies with temperatures in the high 80s, the adidas Track Classic is the second event of USA Track & Field's 2008 Visa Outdoor Championships Series. Already among the nations top throwers for 2008, Vena had been re-writing the national freshman record book though the season, but nothing prepared the crowd for what they were about to see.

Jeff Demps (South Lake HS, FL) was the 2nd fastest 100 meter runner coming back in 2008 based on his 10.25 from 2007. After blasting a 10.17 100 meter win at the Florida Relays, Demps has now put a target on his back as the man to beat. Demps time is equal to the #6 best time in high school history.
