(USATF) - NANJING, China -- When track & field events concluded Monday at the Youth Olympic Games, Myles Marshall was the shining Team USA star as he won his first international gold medal to accompany the gold and two bronzes already accomplished by the Americans in track & field.

(USATF)EUGENE, OREGON -- Over a decade has passed since a major international sporting event was held on U.S. soil. However, that will all change July 22-27 with the 177 member federations and the 1,758 junior athletes, ages 16-19, entered to compete in the 16th IAAF World Junior Championships at Historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.
Molly Huddle was here for one reason, setting the American record once again, and putting it out of reach for awhile. During most of the race, she had the company of Shannon Rowbury who followed her every move, as she had in Sacramento.
With 300 meters to go, Molly Huddle took off and put six seconds on Shannon Rowbury.

(USATF)INDIANAPOLIS -- Emma Coburn has been named USATF’s Athlete of the Week after setting the American record in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Glasgow Diamond League meet on Saturday, July 12.
(IAAF) -The best young athletes from nearly 200 countries will soon be on their way to Eugene for the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships, which begin in exactly one week’s time on 22 July.
GLASGOW -- Olympian Emma Coburn (Crested Butte, Colorado) etched her name in the record books Saturday, breaking the American record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Diamond League meeting in Glasgow. Coburn crossed in 9:11.42 to set a new personal best and take the AR.
